Camping Camping is a 4 season activity and we attack it with relish! (okay, a little worcesteshire sauce on the steaks!) We do our best to get out once a month, and often are found hiking on other weekends. There is no specific course outline, even though we are VERY fond of the following camps;
Equipment List How to pack a backpack If you get lost Survival Kit & Skills
Winter is one of the best times to go camping. Lots of fresh air, great hearty food and a warm Adirondack shelter with straw on the ground! Sigh, where do I sign up for that! Our Scouts learn how to play safe and stay warm. We have camped outside all months of the year and even recall a camp at -35C in tents!

Our camping skills also include simple survival skills, like Hug a Tree and continue on to more advanced skills which include a Senior Scouts weekend where they are released into the wilds (near Drumbo) and made to survive with a kit they created and not much else!
