History

In 1936, Wilf Blum, Assistant scoutmaster, needed a meeting hall for the 1st Preston Scout Troop.

He approached Mr Bernhardt, owner of the Rock Springs Brewery, to use their old stables.

Mr Bernhardt gladly gave the Scouting Association a 99 year lease on the property,

and the love affair with Preston Scout House began.

Thank YOU gentleman, and everyone who participated in the writing of this inspirational book.

This page is dedicated to

Mr Wilf Blum and the youth of Preston.

Without Mr Blum, the Preston Scout House or the 'Preston Scout House Band'

would never have existed.

As well, without the youth of Preston, Mr Blum may never have realised his dream.
